As co-anchor on the Today show, one of the longest-running U.S. television series, Kotb is one of the most recognizable women in America. At age 53, in 2018, she was named co-host of Today alongside Savannah Guthrie, marking the first female anchor team in the show's 66-year history. In 2007, when Kotb was co-host of Today's fourth hour, she allowed NBC cameras to follow her through her breast cancer treatment journey after a stage 4 metastatic breast cancer diagnosis to raise awareness for cancer screenings. Kotb is also known for her work as a correspondent for NBC's Dateline from 1998-2007, where she covered some of the most important domestic and international stories of the moment. Throughout her career, Kotb has collected four wins and 19 Emmy nominations, a Peabody and an entry to the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame.
