When a High Goddess and monarch of the Heavenly Realm meets the Crown Prince, little does she know that in another lifetime, they were lovers. He, however, remembers their time perfectly, and thus begins a love story in another world and another era. Bai Qian (Yang Mi) is a High Goddess and the current female monarch of Qing Qiu, one of the old respected kingdoms of the Heavenly Realms. Years ago, she was sent by her kingdom to the mortal realm. Her mission was to capture Li Jing (Zhang Bin Bin from the Chinese She Was Pretty), a demon lord who once loved Bai Qian and had broken the seal that trapped him for 70,000 years. In the mortal realm, Bai Qian ended up doing the one thing heavenly warriors can't: she fell in love. Fate, unfortunately, had other plans. Some one started sowing seeds of mistrust between the happy couple. When Bai Qian lost her faith in her love, she took her own mortal life and had her memories erased. With no recollection of who she was, Bai Qian serves only as a just ruler of her tribe. Ye Hua (Mark Chao) is the Crown Prince of the Nine Heavens. And while she doesn't recognize him, he knows Bai Qian, the High Goddess he meets in the Heavenly Realm. He remembers that, many years ago, he was the one she fell in love with in the mortal realm. He was the one who couldn't do anything as someone created a rift between them. He was the one who watched his love lose her eyesight. And he was the one who watched as Bai Qian jumped off the Zhu Xian Terrace and took her life. Now, years later, he is the one who will win her back. Because love doesn't stop for another world or another life time. There's also Feng Jiu (Dilraba Dilmurat from the Chinese version of She Was Pretty), Bai Qian's niece and Zhe Yan (Ken Chang), the Eastern King Water God and Bai Qian's good friend. Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms (aka Eternal Love) is based on a novel by Tang Qi. It is directed by Yu Cui Hua and Ren Hai Tao. The drama will debut on Jiangsu TV and Dragon TV starting January 30, 2017. It will air for 58 episodes. In the later parts of the original story, Dilraba Dilmurat and Zhe Yan's characters assume the role of leads, thus explaining the choice of casting relatively known actors in side characters. The novel is also being adapted into a movie, tentatively titled Once Upon a Time, which will air in Summer 2017 with a different cast.
